How much do you charge for a website?

Every web project brings up this question, and I'll answer it here.

It's very much the adult answer, but it really does depend. There are a variety of factors at play — short answer: anywhere from £2,500 to £30,000.

Wow, £30,000? It would involve months of deep research, bespoke web development, custom animation, copywriting, and substantial marketing, such as search engine optimisation(SEO) with extensive content and link building. There is a lot of work that goes into a project like this, and it's taken me 20 years of building websites to gain the experience to pull a project off of that size.

But, I get a website done for me on Fiverr for £150?

A website for £150 isn't going to deliver the results you need. You may have a website, but it will perform poorly and look like thousands, if not millions, of other websites.

I only have a budget of £1000!

It's like hunting for houses for £50,000. That's a lot of money, but it doesn't buy you a reliable, strong house in a good neighbourhood. If your budget is £1000, then I respect that and recommend you don't hire us. I will, however, leave the door open for you to get back in touch in the future when you want to squeeze every last bit out of your website.

Our minimum level engagement for a website is £2,500 per year. You will find large agencies that charge that per week, and you will also find web designers who are starting out in the exciting world and journey of web design, who will get a website up and running for a few hundred pounds.

I hope that answers some of your question.
